Kia Ora
Kia Ora, I am Tash.
Even though I was bought up in a city, my mornings started with the cacophony of birds and squirrels outside my window. My afternoons were filled with the buzz of insects that only people that have been to tropical and subtropical countries will understand and my nights were spent listening to the hoot of owls and watching fruit bats swooping in hoards out of all the neighbouring trees. I only knew three seasons: Hot summers spent lounging in the shade of big gulmohar and banyan trees eating fresh fruit; Cool winters spent having hot teas and stargazing and Monsoons (my favourite!) which were spent running around in the warm rain catching frogs, chasing butterflies and inhaling the beautiful fragrance of petrichor! Growing up like this I couldn’t help but be fascinated by the colours, smells and sounds of nature.
So it is not surprising that I grew up studying wildlife and the environment and seeded my love for nature into the very core of what I am and what I do for a profession today. This website is a platform for me to share my love for nature and photography with you.

The Journal Entries page is where all my shared stories will appear. All the stories are experiences I collect in some way or form while exploring the natural world. There tags for each story and they may belong to either one (or more) of the following categories:
-
Conservation: these are related to my work and deal with wildlife conservation and environmental awareness,
-
Photo: Expressing how I see the world around me through a lens,
-
Travel: pretty self explanatory,
-
Culture and people: Stories about the different people and cultures I come across; and how they connect with the environment
-
Melting with nature: Sharing my feeling of connectedness with my environment
The Galleries page is a collection of my favourite photographs taken while living through my experiences. I will have some very select photos up for sale (either as just images or on sustainable accessories), where all profit made from these sales will be donated to charities actively doing conservation at the end of each year.
If there are certain images from the galleries that you would like in any other form, please contact me so I can discuss the most sustainable way to achieve what you want.
